When you create an account with a restaurant on Glasgow Eats, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. When you place an order, we store the order details (items, customizations, pickup time, total) and your loyalty points balance so the restaurant can fulfill your order and track your rewards. We also collect basic device information (device type, OS) and a push notification token so we can send you order status updates.
Payment processing is handled directly by Square, Inc. We never see or store your full card number — Square handles that securely and only shares a payment confirmation with us. Square's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
Your information is used to fulfill your order, send you order status updates and pickup notifications, manage your account and loyalty rewards, and (with your consent) send occasional promotional messages. We don't sell your information.
Glasgow Eats hosts a separate app for each participating restaurant. If you order from more than one restaurant on the platform, your account, order history, and loyalty points at one restaurant are not shared with any other restaurant — each is a fully separate account, even if you use the same name/email/phone to sign up.
Your order information is shared with the restaurant fulfilling your order, and with the service providers that make the app work (Square for payments, Expo for push notifications, Supabase for account/data storage). We share information with law enforcement or other authorities only when legally required to do so.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no electronic storage or transmission method is 100% secure. Your account information is retained while your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time.
You can access, correct, or delete your account information at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your login and personal details; past order records are retained without your name/contact information attached, for the restaurant's business and tax records. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time.
Glasgow Eats is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
